There are about 800 tanneries in Pakistan. Tanning changes the chemistry inside the leather fibers to make it more difficult for the enzymes from bacteria and fungi to break them down – thus making the leather exceptionally durable. The process of leather tanning includes many chemicals such as calcium hydroxide, sodium sulfide, sulfuric acid, formic acid, hydrogen sulfide, aniline-based dyes, and solvents (dichloromethane, benzene, ethanol, tetrachloroethane, trichloroethylene ).
We have been supplying imported chemical from Europe to Sohail International (distributer of Hancle), Clariant (Multinational Company) and Sardar Chemicals owned by Sardar Ayaz Sadiq who was the Speaker of Pakistan National Assembly in during primeship of Mr. Nawaz Shareef in Pakistan.
These functional chemicals are imported from Portugal, Italy and Spain attentively. These chemicals are then provided in many customary tanneries in Pakistan.
